If you fail to take action and don’t keep your team members updated, then your team will not take you seriously as you didn’t keep your commitment. Then how can you expect to your team members commit to what they say?

So start taking actions to whatever you have committed and keep your team updated about it. Become a role model and set an example to your team members. This will help in creating a healthy work environment.

➋ Build relationship with team members

Many managers work with their team members in a transactional way. If there is a question, then there is a response. Beyond this there is no conversation.

It is always better to build a relationship with your team members, so that you can discuss your idea with them freely and they can express their thoughts and feedback freely.

Without ideas and feedbacks exchanged freely, you will not be successful in bringing changes or taking new initiatives. So move away from transactional relationship and move towards having a open relationship with your team members.

➌ Create a culture of trust

If you are new to management role, then you must find a way to trust your team, and you must allow your team members to trust you.
